Last weekend was St Patrick’s Day, and boy was it a blast. My flat mate Maurice and I started out the night with an exhilarating game of Pass the Pigs. I took an early lead winning the first game while Maurice still learned how to play. The second game saw me out with an early lead but a crushing Makin’ Bacon roll late lost me all my points and Maurice took the second game. The third game was no contest, I was rolling well, making the right decisions, and avoiding the Pig Outs, Maurice had no chance.

After Georgia showed up and a few more rounds of beers we missioned to town walking down all those steps. When we finally arrived the whole downtown was packed. Molley Malones which is an Irish bar that typically has an older crowd was spilling out on to the streets so we continued on to try our luck else where.

We got down to Kitty O’Sheas which I like to go to on regular nights because they usually have good bands, unfortunately everyone else was thinking the same thing and the line was massive, it started to look like no Irish bars to start out. We ended up going to another regular hangout called Jet, a nice place with different rooms for dancing, lounging or mingling. We stayed there for several hours and many beers.

At around one thirty am we decided to try our luck with Kitty’s again, and sure enough the line had gone by then. We stepped into the Irish bar full of green and the rest is history.
