This last weekend I spent helping Georgia house sit one of their family friend’s house. It was a pretty good deal for me, close to town and good facilities, especially the kitchen. They had two dogs and a cat as well. Thomas the cat is a little old; he just sits there and stares at everything going on around him. The dogs on the other hand are young and rambunctious. The female is named Shelby and has this weird complex where she can’t wag just her tail so she walks around wagging her whole bum. The male is named Leo and is a little jealous and insecure. It was funny to watch them at times and the dynamic that they created.

Friday night we had a small social gathering at my house for several hours consisting of drinks, movies and pizza right after work. There were plenty of good times and air guitars listening to ‘The Wall’, Floyd rocks! Afterwards we went to go deal with the pets since they hadn’t had any attention for a bit and needed dinner.

On Saturday I got myself up and went to town early, had a nice coffee and breakfast, and finally got some shopping finished. It is incredibly hard not to go buy the NHL 07 video game but I still have four other games to finish and six books to read that I bought before I can buy myself some new toys. In the afternoon I met up with a few friends and headed to the gaming convention called Armageddon. The convention wasn’t what I had hoped for as it was more of a collectables focus rather than a gamin focus. There were several pretty promo girls though. Saturday night was Carolyn’s birthday (Not Caroline, which I told a friend and that was funny). We went out to my old flat up the street where the last minute party was held, but unfortunately not many people showed up.

On Sunday I ended up getting up at the wee hours of the morning (actually only eight am) to make some French Toast and get into that nice kitchen. The kitchen turned out to be really nice, but the pans were awful. There were piles of carbon coming off every pan, so some of the pieces of toast came out a little blacker than I had hoped for, and it re-affirms my desire for my own place with my own kitchen!
