Bowling!

Yesterday we had the Java Team end of summer event, and we elected to go to the bowling alley. A few months back Wellington got its first bowling alley in around a decade and the place seems more suited towards a night club with some bowling lanes in it. All the lanes were short and narrow, and there was a big bar and lounge focus there, far more than at the zone back in Richmond.

Well we played three games and I ended up winning a few prizes. I won the most strikes out of anyone with 8 in total, and I also won for the singe highest score of 152. Some other notable prizes were the person who bowled like a Nancy, lowest score (30), most improved (from 50 to 130), most spares (11), and most spares in a game (6). If there was a most strikes in a game I would have won that too with 4 but they capped it at winning two categories to prevent me and one other from taking over.

All in all there was good food, lots of beer and good times on the company. Working in the private sector is awesome. Now I have to head downstairs for the bi-monthly party and more drinking.
