On Thursday I went to meet a few of my friends at Atlanta, a classy but overpriced bar near work. We decided to go for a few drinks but then we got talking and on and on, somehow I got talked into a pre-party at my house on Saturday, and it went and before we knew it the time was already eight o’clock and we were hungry. So we went to Syn that has a connected Hell’s Pizza for pizza and more drinking before finally stumbling home much later than I planned.
On Friday I gave my big presentation at work for GIS that went fairly well, lots of good information was presented, and we headed to the Friday drinks afterwards for free booze. I spent most of the time drinking with Val, a very funny Scottish woman who knows her way around a wine bottle, and then after a few hours I headed home to have a quiet night. Shortly after arriving home my quiet night was broken by Maurice coming home with his friend from New York that he hadn’t seen in a while. Well since this was the guy who taught Maurice Beer Pong, we had to play, and of course I lost. After loosing a close battle and more hanging out someone (Maurice) thought it would be a good idea to play Pass the Pigs. Since I’m not one to pass up a pigs challenge we played a few games and I lost both of those as well, so my quiet evening at home turned out to be a drawn out booze fest.
On Saturday I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, and it was nothing spectacular, too long and drawn out. Leave it to Disney to get a big box office hit then just churn out sub par sequels and ride the reputation out. That night though was the pre-party at my house and there were a few people there. There was more Beer Pong and I got talked into playing again, and this time I got destroyed, it was just bad. No more Beer Pong. Finally after midnight I was able to round the drunk girls out of the house and into a cab where we headed to town. We went to this crappy lounge called Mighty Mighty and town was a big disappointment, but the Kebabs after were awesome!
