Saturday was the annual Wellington Cup, supposedly the biggest racing event in New Zealand. The event was held at Trentham which is about an hour train ride from Wellington. It was good fun with all the people in classy dress for the races, but it was also a bit spoiled by the drunken teenagers in dirty t-shirts and jean shorts. After the races we visited the world’s smallest courtyard (which was actually a fair size) for some after races partying before finally hitting the town on a crazy Saturday night. I look forward to next year’s event.
