We arrived in Sydney today at 8:30 in the morning Sydney time. Georgia had no trouble with immigration being a New Zealander but I got stuck in the “other passports” queue. We hopped the train to North Sydney and met Maurice. After another breakfast Georgia and I walked the Sydney Harbor Bridge. It is a lot bigger than I thought.
We found ourselves in The Rocks, an older part of Sydney with lots of brick buildings converted to stores. The old buildings looked like warehouses and it had a similar feel to parts of Yaletown in Vancouver.
From there we caught a train back across the bridge to Maurice’s and had a bit of a snooze. Afterward, Maurice took us to a Brazilian all you can eat restaurant where they walk around with skewers of meat and load you up. We ate so much. I also discovered a local beer, Lord Nelson 3 Sheets, and it was delicious. By the end of the meal Georgia and I were completely shattered having been up almost a full day and it was time for a sleep.
