It took a little while but I managed to get the iPhone 3.0 update. Severe server load for activating the update was causing the problem for me but later in the day it was all sweet.
I actually find that there are few features that I’m actually using. The chance to copy & paste doesn’t come up very often but it does come up. Picture texting hasn’t come up once, I usually end up mailing photos rather than texting (MMS cost $0.17). Tethering is supported by Vodafone NZ but I haven’t had the need to but that one will be valuable traveling.
So an in all there are some great features now available but I haven’t had much use for them. Perhaps I haven’t discovered how to use these new features to their full potential, but the OS update was free so nothing lost.
