We’re staying in Ponsonby while in Auckland. It’s a trendy, iconic suburb of Auckland about 15 minutes from the CBD. Every year the houses of Franklin Road put on an unofficial Christmas lights compitition, and people from all around come to see the displays. Carollers, buskers and bands come out in force to cash in on the holiday cheer.
