Vancouver’s Bright Nights in Stanley Park has been running as long as I can remember. There is a kid’s train running through the trees that gets decorated for Halloween, then Christmas every year. Georgia had never been there before so I took her out to see the lights. We decided to walk it which turned out to be a lot farther than expected, and when we got there it was a swarm of small children. We had to wait in line close to an hour but then finally got on the train. The train ride only lasted about 15 minutes but Georgia had fun which is what really matters. After the train we had to walk all the way back home again. I’m glad that’s done now so I don’t have to do it again for many more years.
